Persistence suits with ambition

"How the hell is a fifty two-year-old over the hill milk shake machine sales man, build a fast food empire with 1.600 restaurants in 50 states, five foreign countries with an annual revenue off in the neighbourhood of 700 million dollars? One word: PERSISTENCE." Ray Kroc, The Founder.

Is it never too late to succeed in Life? We can see a huge range of examples which show us that there is no age to hit an ambitious idea. Jan Koum founded Whatsapp at the age of 35, Coca-cola was created when John Pemberton was 55, Harland Sanders started KFC at 65, and the two golden arches of Mc Donald's were brought to life when a visionary man in his middle age, like Ray Kroc followed his gut. A big boy who was almost devastated by a cloudy life, that is a brilliant illustration of persistence!

I was looking for something inspirational to watch on my screen and there it was: "The Founder". A simple title which contains everything that you need to know, I just said to myself "it will be a movie worth watching". Well, not only because of the title but also for a well-known star name as "Michael Keaton" and the greatest iconical "M" of one of the best franchises in the World: Mc Donald's.

Three elements that build an aggressive film poster which grabs you at first sight. The story of how Ray Kroc conquers the World with a fast food franchise, made by hamburgers and fries it is good enough by itself. As a fan of true story movies, I really enjoyed this biopic film directed by John Lee Hancock. So excited that I was, starving for feeding my knowledge about Ray Kroc and the real origins of Mc Donald´s after watching it. As a positive soul myself, I was fascinated about how John Lee and Robert D.Siegel (both director and writer) focus script and image on the main character, who returns to Life from scratch and who does whatever is needed to achieve his goals. The opportunity knocked Ray Kroc´s door when he was working without a bit of enthusiasm in his monotonous life. But in this sleepy stage of mind, doing what he had to do, never losing hope and struggling with persistence... Unexpectedly this 52 years old man could see a chance where others could not have seen: "Mc Donald´s! it could be anything you want it to be..." Ray Kroc, The Founder. Here I attached the scene where a glorious Michael Keaton leaves a Bird Man role to starring a powerful Ray Kroc: the real face of persistence made by ambition.
